Majors Lose Big to Red Sox

Brantford Red Sox pitcher Jamie Richmond needed a win and got won convincingly.
On Friday night, the Red Sox beat the London Majors 8-1. The Majors could only muster up one run on five hits.
The Sox scored one run in each of the first two innings, but blew it open with a five run 6th.
London Majors pitcher Wander Perez took the loss pitching 5 2/3 innings giving up eight runs on nine hits with six strikeouts.
Brantford first baseman Nick Weglarz led all hitters going 3-for-5 with a homerun and four RBI’s.
With the loss, London stays in second place. Their next game is Saturday at Labatt Park versus the Hamilton Cardinals.
