Teens Charged In Middlesex Traffic Stop
A pair of 14 and 15-year-old boys are facing charges in Middlesex County after OPP officers ended an early morning joyride.
On Sunday morning, OPP officers tried to pull over a Dodge pickup truck after it ran a stop sign in North Middlesex.
Police allege the vehicle sped away from police, but was eventually stopped by officers.
The 14-year-old driver was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, take a motor vehicle without consent and –under the Highway Traffic Act– failing to stop at a stop sign.
Both boys were also charged with consuming alcohol underage, under the Liquor Licence Act.
The boys cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
