Man Charged In Kitten’s Death

A London man is facing a number of animal abuse charges after he brought a dead kitten to the London Animal Care and Control on July 5.

The 20-year-old was arrested after the LACC called London police, who then contacted the London Humane Society.

After a joint investigation into the death of ten-week-old kitten, Stephen Hanson of London was arrested and charged with:
– Killing or injuring an animal
– Failing to provide reasonable care to an animal
– Uttering threats to kill, poison or injure an animal
– Two counts of causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal

Hanson was released from custoday and will appear in court of August 12.

Police would not say how they allege the kitten was killed.
