London Man Charged With Manslaughter

Exactly ten months after a London woman died in hospital following an alleged domestic assault, police have laid another charge.

On September 1st, 2013, 58-year-old Katherine Adam was rushed to hospital from an apartment at 241 Simcoe St. for traumatic injuries sustained during an assault, allegedly at the hands of her common-law partner.

47-year-old William Wayne Feather was arrested and charged with aggravated assault shortly after Adam was taken to hospital.

She succumb to her injuries on September 17, 2013.

Feather, who has been in police custody since the assault, has now been charged with manslaughter.

Police laid the charge after the Major Crime Section continued the investigation and conferred with the West Region Coroner, Ontario Forensic Pathology Service and the Crown Attorney.

Feather’s next court date is July 21.
