Majors Win, Take Second Place

The London Majors continued their hot play Friday night as they beat the Guelph Royals 8-7 to move into second place.

The Majors had three runs in the 7th inning in a back and forth game at Labatt Park. Majors pitcher Kody Bradley took the win after coming into the game in the 7th. Bradley shut the door, allowing only one hit and no earned runs. Carlos Martinez started the game, scattering seven  hits over six innings, allowing six earned runs, and striking out eight.

Every player managed a hit in the game as the Majors totaled 12 hits.

London now sits 3.5 games behind the Barrie Baycats in the Intercounty Baseball League.

The Majors play a doubleheader against the Kitchener Panthers Sunday.
