Movie Nights In The Park ReturnsJune 10, 2014 12:49pm
The London Youth Advisory Council is offering a cheap alternative to going to the movies with your family.
Movie Nights in the Park is a free way to see your favourite family movies in Victoria Park. There are two different movies each month over the summer. The Little Rascals is the first movie being shown on Tuesday night.
“It started last year,” Executive Director of the London Youth Advisory Council Matt Ross says. “”It was entirely an experiment. We really didn’t know what was going to happen. I think for The Lion King we had 300-500 people, so it was a really good turnout.”
The movies begin just after sunset. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will all be for sale. Viewers are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
Ross says there’s even a way to get text alerts so you don’t forget.
“If you text ‘movie’ to 226-271-1189, then it’ll remind you the week before the movie via text and the morning of the movie.”
