Elections Ontario reports voter turnout for advance voting in four London-area ridings was lower for this election compared to 2011.
Advance polling ended last Friday. Elections Ontario reports a total of 21,625 people cast a ballot at advance polls compared to 22,990 in 2011. Although the overall total was down, the riding of London West had a bigger turnout in 2014 with about 1300 more ballots cast, despite 2 fewer polling stations in the riding. London-West is currently represented by rookie NDP MPP Peggy Sattler who won her seat in an August 2013 byelection after it was vacated by Liberal Chris Bentley.
