OPP say a charge has now been laid in connection with a tractor trailer rollover that snarled traffic on the 401 Sunday.

Around 11am, a tractor trailer rolled in the westbound lanes of Hwy 401 near Dorchester Rd. It hit the centre median and blocked all westbound lanes for several hours.

The driver was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was later released.

An OPP investigation determined the truck was too close to other vehicles that were slowing down.  In an attempt to avoid colliding with the traffic ahead, the transport driver braked, skidded across the westbound lanes and eventually rolled.

Oscar Flores, 55, of Hamilton is charged with Follow Too Closely under Section 158(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
