Nearly 1,000 Pot Plants Seized

Provincial police say a fire on the Oneida First Nation led them to a marijuana growing operation.
A number of police and fire services responded to a call about a fire near a building on Bodkin Road on Friday afternoon. As a result of the investigation, police discovered a grow-op with almost a thousand plants.
Clifton Smith, 24, of Oneida First Nation was arrested and charged with marijuana production.
