Londoner Charged With Fraud
Police in Strathroy have arrested a London man for using fraudulent cheques to buy grocery gift cards.
The man allegedly purchased $1,000 in certificates from the Real Canadian Superstore, with documentation that led staff to believe he was from the Canadian Cancer Society. Police say the man is not a representative of the charity.
The 34-year-old Londoner is charged with fraud and theft not exceeding $5,000 dollars. The man’s name has not been released.
He is in custody and is also wanted by Sarnia police.
