Committee Approves Unplugged Patio PerformancesMay 14, 2014 5:34am
The idea of acoustic music on restaurant and bar patios moved ahead after a 5-1 vote by the city’s Planning and Environment Committee.
Only Joni Baechler voted against easing the current bylaw that bans any live music outside on patios and decks. Some residents living near establishments with patios expressed concerns about noise levels.
The concept still requires approval by full city council at next week’s meeting. If it moves ahead, a pilot project would launch this summer.
