Post-Secondary Town Hall Meeting Scheduled

If the cost of post-secondary education for your kids worries you, you’re invited to a town hall meeting in London tonight.
OPSEU is hosting the meeting at the Hilton on King St. It will examine the long-term effects of underfunding, understaffing, and high tuition costs at Ontario’s post-secondary schools. The meeting comes after the union commissioned a report to look into the key issues facing Ontario’s colleges and universities.
Mohawk College professor, and report author, Kevin MacKay, says operational funding from the province has dropped from 80% to 50% over the last 30 years and education standards are starting to slip.
The meeting runs from 6:00-8:30pm at the Hilton on King St.
