The Tampa Bay Lightning ended the Toronto Maple Leafs’ playoff hopes on Tuesday night.
Final score: 3-0.
It was a fast fall for the blue and white who, just a month ago, held second place in the Atlantic Division.
Tampa Bay goalie Ben Bishop left with 14:17 left in the first period because of an undisclosed upper-body injury. Anders Lindback replaced Bishop.
James Reimer stopped 31 shots for the Maple Leafs, who have lost 10 of 12.
