Police are searching for a man wanted on a number of outstanding warrants from both the OPP and the London Police Service.

The service has released photos of 31-year-old Vaughn French of the Chippewa of the Thames First Nation, in hopes the public can help identify his location.

French is wanted for the following offences:

• possessing a firearm while prohibited
• possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• escaping lawful custody
• driving while disqualified
• possessing break in instruments
• operating a motor vehicle while disqualified
• failing to stop for police
• possession of property obtained by crime
• failing to comply with a court order and failing to attend court

Police say the offences were committed in both London and in Middlesex County.

Anyone who has information on French’s wherabouts are asked to call London police or the OPP. He is described as 5’9″, 150 lbs, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a thin build. His left arm is covered in tattoos.

“On a number of occasions, Vaughn French has shown an absolute disregard for authority and his actions have posed a danger to the community,” police say in a release. “Anyone who may come into contact with this man should not approach him, but should call 911 instead.”
