Three Suspects Sought In Weekend Assault

Middlesex OPP are looking for three suspects in connection with an assault on a driver on the Oneida First Nation.
Police say on Saturday at 7:35am, a man was driving in the area of Fairgrounds Rd. when he was confronted by three men in an older model silver or grey Pontiac Montana minivan. After a confrontation, police allege the man was assaulted by one of the men from the van.
A short time later, the victim’s vehicle left the roadway on Bodkin Rd. and into the ditch. When he returned from calling for help, the man found his car in flames. The Oneida Fire Department was able to put the fire out, but the vehicle was damaged and the driver was treated for minor injuries.
Police are now looking for the public’s help to find the three men involved.
They are described as:
• Suspect #1 a First Nation male in his twenties, approximately 6′ tall in good physical condition with no distinguishing features or facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing and had a toque with a gold and black stripe.
• Suspect #2 described as a First Nation male also in his twenties, appeared to be a little over 6 feet tall and had a slim build. The male was observed wearing dark clothing and also had no facial hair or other distinguishing features
• Suspect#3 described as a First Nation male in his twenties. The male appeared to be shorter than 6 feet tall and had his hair pulled back into a ponytail.
