Fire Destroys South London Home

A “routine investigation” is underway into the cause of a house fire on Sunday afternoon.
London Fire Platoon Chief Tom Wells tells Blackburn News three people inside the home at 53 Stroud Cres. got out safely when neighbours alerted them and called 911 at around 4 pm. Several crews arrived because of heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the top of the structure.
Wells says the roof was destroyed and there was extensive damage to the main level as well as water damage.
A fire investigator has been to the scene but a cause hasn’t yet been determined.
