Acoustic Patio Performances Possible

A summer evening stop at a London restaurant or bar patio might get a little more musical this year.
Next Tuesday, the Planning and Environment Committee will once again consider a recommendation from city staff that the current bylaws change to allow live music on patios, within limits.
The idea was prompted last year by Councillor Denise Brown and gained widespread approval among her colleagues. Allowances would be made for acoustic music only, which must stay within city noise limits. A pilot project would run this summer and be reviewed at the end of the year. Londoners would be invited to comment at a public participation meeting on May 13, 2014, at City Hall.
