I have lived and raised a family in Lambton Shores for over thirty years. I have worked in Education, been the Canadian Sales Coordinator for an international clothing corporation and a small business owner in the Forest community. As a former member of the Grand Bend Chamber of Commerce and the Forest Business Improvement Association, I understand the need for municipalities to support economic development of their commercial districts, and how important visitors are to rural towns. I was part of a group that founded Lambton Shores Nature Trails, a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and promoting a system of public trails throughout Lambton Shores and vicinity that provides opportunities for people to connect to nature.
I am an avid outdoors person and have enjoyed playing pickleball for over 7 years. Active volunteer service throughout Lambton Shores includes helping with the Forest Film and Food Festival Committee, Communities in Bloom, Optimists International, and the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre committee to benefit healthy living, currently volunteering with North Lambton Community Health Centre walking group spring and fall.

After 8 years as a Councillor I am excited to be running for Deputy Mayor! Simply put, I am the most qualified candidate. My planning, council, and business background has prepared me to understand agendas, by-laws, provincial acts, and planning documents, as well as budgeting, managing personnel, setting goals and priorities, and building strong customer relations.
I am a third generation Grand Bend resident, I have family in Forest, and friends and connections in between! Being connected is vitally important when making decisions for the entire municipality, and understanding the unique issues that affect the individual communities that make up Lambton Shores.

Glen Baillie has lived and worked in Grand Bend since 2004. He has founded, served on the executive or co-chaired Huron Shores Transit Committee, Summer Sunset Sounds, Grand Bend and Area Chamber of Commerce, Holiday Home Tour, Grand Bend and Area Studio Tour, and the Jingle Bells Christmas Decorating group. He believes Lambton Shores needs to immediately deal with growth issues like parking, affordable housing, recreation facilities and related infrastructure. He believes this can be accomplished once the proper timeframes, budgets, and desire to grow properly are accepted by voters, councillors, and staff. Facebook: Glen Baillie Candidate Ward One.

My name is Gayle Ritter and I am looking forward to your vote this October in Ward 1 of the Municipality of Grand Bend where I am a resident.
I have been a part of the community; forming friendships, supporting and enjoying Grand Bend, Ipperwash Beach, Kettle Point, Port Franks and the shores of Lake Huron since the late 80’s. More recently I have been spending time enjoying, working and living within the Municipality; I have had an opportunity to see, listen and experience our community & life in Grand Bend. My family of course rounds out my life with my husband of 25 years Jason & our daughter Ashley who is currently attending University. It is with great pleasure and pride that I put myself before you for your support this fall. I bring to you my professional background as a Financial Underwriter & Client Manager in the insurance industry, experience as a business owner, volunteerism holding seats on both the Chamber of Commerce, Business Improvement Association and Retail Merchants in a community I was very much embedded; in, similar to this one. I offer you a well-rounded project driven opportunity for change; to represent your voices.
There are many moving parts within our community, opportunities and changes happening all around us. I have heard you when you speak of the community centre, more accessible active transportation in & around the area, overall beach management, transparent tax base allocation, tourism & economical development, traffic flow and ultimately effective infrastructure that supports the needs of the community.
It is time to come together, build together and work together to protect and grow what we have all come to appreciate and love about our community. With your vote; our meet & greets, interactions and conversations over the next few years will continue.
I will not only be your voice within the municipality but I will be your connection to council. I will be accountable to you every day and easily accessible. Afterall, we are neighbours. I see better, want better and will give you better in Ward 1 when you vote for me as the Ward 1 councillor. It is TIME for CHANGE!
