There are 14 active cases and one hospitalization. Two people have succumbed to the virus, after a second death was confirmed late yesterday.
The health unit reported 4,606 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce. This week, vaccinations are focusing on Retirement Home residents and staff, EMS staff, Highest Risk and Very High Risk Health Care workers and Indigenous Community both on and off reserve.
The health unit says Grey Bruce residents 80 years of age and older are currently being identified through the health care system for eligibility for the COVID 19 vaccine and anyone eligible will be contacted directly in the near future to schedule these vaccines.
People are asked not call their healthcare provider or the health unit to book an appointment. For those without a primary care provider, a 1-800 number will be available to book whomever was not captured through the health care system.
