Vehicle stolen in Chatham

Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a stolen car.

According to Chatham Police, on December 21 a 2009 Mazda MCX was stolen from a residence on Raleigh Street in Chatham sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. by an unknown suspect.

The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plate BSZB 717.

Reduce impaired driving everywhere

Last night, police conducted RIDE spot checks in Chatham.

A total of 275 vehicles were stopped and checked. No one was found to be driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol.

Man Charged with impaired driving

Friday evening, police were on general patrol in Chatham.

While on patrol officers conducted a routine traffic stop and suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The 19-year-old Wheatley man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests. He was charged with driving over the legal limit and was released pending a future court date.
