Arrest leads to drug bust

Friday night officers located a 26-year-old man in a Chatham apartment who had an out of town warrant out for his arrest. Police said that while searching him, they found him in possession of drugs and transported him to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters. He has since been released with a court date pending.

Man hit with two charges

A 22-year-old Wheatley man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say he was seen walking around a house that he did not live at and then entering the attached garage. Once police arrived they charged the man with trespassing at night and mischief under $5,000. After being sent to CK Police Headquarters he was released with a future court date.

Man Charged with failing to comply

Around 2 a.m. Saturday morning officers spotted a man riding a bike on Richmond Street in Chatham. Police recognized the man as a 27-year-old Chatham resident who was previous arrested an released with conditions. One of his conditions was a daily curfew between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Once officers realized the man had breached this condition he was arrested and is currently being held at police headquarters awaiting a bail hearing.
