Police officials say sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, an unknown number of suspects broke the front door window to gain access into an empty commercial building on Talbot St. W.

Once inside, lights, ceiling tiles and toilets were damaged.

Two roof-top compressor units were also removed and thrown to the parking lot below.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

A 43-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with speeding and driving while under suspension.

A Chatham-Kent police officer observed a motor vehicle travelling on Base Line at a high rate of speed on Wednesday and following an investigation, the officer learned the man was a suspended driver due to unpaid fines.

The officer recorded the man allegedly driving 106 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
