Getting into a struggle with a Chatham-Kent police officer has landed a Blenheim man with charges.
Police stopped a vehicle on Kent Bridge Rd. on Thursday around 5:30pm. The driver was arrested followed a short struggle with the officer.
The 59-year-old man is charged with driving on a closed highway, failing to stop, driving with a license, and resisting arrest.
A Ridgetown man, wanted on an outstanding warrant, was arrested in Chatham.
An officer stopped the 19-year-old on Queen St. around 5:30pm yesterday for riding his bicycle on the sidewalk.
An investigation revealed he was wanted for outstanding warrants for criminal harassment, and failing to appear in court.
No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Main St. E in Ridgetown.
The collision happened just before noon yesterday.
Damage is estimated at $3,000, and a 49-year-old Ridgetown man was charged.
