A mischievous act has led to the arrest of a Chatham man.

Police say Friday afternoon they were notified of a man kicking the side of a vehicle on King St. in Chatham.

There was minor damage to the vehicle. The man has been arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.

He has since been released with a future court date.


Chatham-Kent police are searching for an $8,000 road racing bike.

Police say sometime Thursday evening an unknown person(s) went in through an open garage door on Churchill St. in Chatham and left with the bike.

The stolen bike is described as a specialized carbon fibre road racing bike, and is black, white, grey, and silver in colour

Police are also searching for a stolen trailer.

On Thursday night a 12in enclosed trailer had been stolen from a parking lot on Erie St. S. in Ridgetown. The trailer is described as a grey, single axle trailer, with chrome fenders.

The trailer had the Ontario licence plate K32 98N.
