Police Briefs – Thursday, September 29, 2016
A Chatham man who allegedly violated court ordered conditions repeatedly has been arrested.
The man was released from custody back in March and was told not to communicate with a specific woman or go near their residence.
But in August, the man allegedly went to her home, got into an argument with her and damaged her phone.
Earlier this month he was spotted in her backyard, and sent her a friend request on Facebook.
Then on Tuesday, police learned her no longer staying at the address he was bound to live at.
The 29-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with three counts of failing to comply, and one count of mischief.
An iPad was stolen from an unlocked apartment on Holden St. in Dresden. Police say the 16GB tablet was taken sometime between 4 and 4:30pm on Saturday, September 24.
Meanwhile, an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency was stolen from a residence on Grand Ave. W in Chatham. Police say the money was taken sometime between Monday and Wednesday this week.
