Police Briefs – Wednesday, July 13, 2016
Police are investigating after a rope and harness was used to rappel into a vacant commercial building in Chatham.
The suspects entered the building on Keil Dr. S late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Officers say they gained access through a panel in the roof and were able to remove several TV’s through a back door.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

A Chatham man has been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
Police say the man went into the change room at Sears in downtown Chatham last night with two items, and allegedly concealed one item while returning the other.
The 27-year-old was stopped by a loss prevention officer and charged when police were called and allegedly found him to be in possession of the missing piece of clothing.

Approximately $75 worth of copper piping was stolen from a newly built, vacant home in Chatham.
Police says sometime between July 11 and 12, the suspects got into the home on College St. through a basement window, and made off with the pipe.
