Police Briefs – Saturday, July 9, 2016

An ongoing dispute between a male and female has resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old Chatham man.

Police say the man had been under certain conditions to not communicate or contact the female based on previous charges.

He is now charged with  multiple counts of breach of recognizance and breaking and entering.

Police say he will remain in custody pending a bail hearing.

Having a few too many didn’t work out so great for a 27-year-old Chatham man.

Police say around 4am they found an intoxicated man on Queen St. who appeared to be incapable of taking care of himself

As a result, a 27-year-old Chatham man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place, and was released from custody once he became sober.

The investigation into a break and enter in Chatham continues.

Police say sometime between July 5 and July 8 an unknown number of suspects broke into a garage on Braemar Blvd.

A white 21 speed Trek bicycle was reported stolen.
