Police say $4,000 worth of copper wire was stolen from a construction site in Chatham.

Sometime between 7:30pm Monday night and 6:30am Tuesday morning, police say the suspects forced their way into the property on Dufferin Ave.

They caused $500 in damage and made off with the copper wire.


A 16-year-old Wallaceburg youth is charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

Officers say they picked her up on Selkirk St. at around 10:30pm last night while they were responding to a disturbance call.

She was arrested and taken to police headquarters, but later released when she was sober.


Police are investigating a pair break-ins involving televisions.

Officers say someone broke into a residence on Ebenezer St. in Ridgetown and stole a 40″ RCA TV.

In a separate incident, someone stole a 42″ flat screen TV from a residence on Inshes Ave. in Chatham.
