Police Briefs – Friday, April 15, 2016

An unidentified man walked out of the Chatham Walmart with a cart-full of groceries.

Chatham-Kent police are looking for the suspect who was seen leaving the store without paying Thursday afternoon.

A video surveillance image of the suspect can be found below. Anyone with information is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.

Police are on the lookout for a break and enter suspect who apparently entered a Baldoon Rd. home in broad daylight.

Chatham-Kent police say around 4:15pm Thursday, a woman was doing yard work at her home when she saw another woman running out of the house.

After going back inside, the homeowner found jewelry had been taken.

The suspect is described as an Asian woman with a thick accent, between 30 to 40 years old, standing around 5’2″. She was wearing dark clothing at the time and was last seen running towards Oxley Dr.

The fifth and final suspect in a Tilbury robbery has been arrested.

Back on December 19, 2015, around 2am, five men were involved in an altercation at a residence on Queen St. N in Tilbury. During the incident, a 23-year-old Tilbury man was assaulted and robbed of money and his cell phone.

Four of the suspects were arrested and charged following the robbery.

On Thursday afternoon, police arrested another 23-year-old Tilbury man, who they say is the final suspect in the case.

He’s been charged with robbery and unlawfully being in a dwelling house, after a separate incident.
