Outstanding warrants have landed a number of Chatham residents in jail.

A man contacted police yesterday afternoon to report a domestic disturbance between himself and his girlfriend.

No charges were laid but the 26-year-old man was arrested on a surety relief warrant. A 19-year-old woman was also apprehended for an outstanding warrant of fraud, uttering a forged document and failing to attend court.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old wanted for failing to attend court back in November, was arrested just before 12:30am this morning.

He was charged back in September for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

A domestic dispute had landed a Chatham man was a pair of assault charges.

Officers were called to a home around 7:30pm last night, and allege the man assaulted a woman during a argument.

An investigation revealed it was not the first time it had happened.

The 44-year-old was released from custody with a future court date.

A 20-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with careless driving.

Police responded to a two-vehicle collision around 1pm yesterday afternoon on Sandys St. near Fielder Ave.

No one was injured . Damage is estimated at $8,000.
