Police Briefs – Tuesday, December 22, 2015

An arrest has been arrested in connection with an altercation involving five men in Tilbury.

On Saturday, December 19, police say the incident happened at a residence on Queen St. N around 2am.

A 23-year-old was allegedly assaulted and cash and his cell phone were stolen.

Officers were able to identify the men responsible and issued a warrant.

A 19-year-old Tilbury man was arrested Monday night for robbery.


A pair of Chatham residents are facing charges after forging a prescription .

Police say Monday morning around 10am, the man and women went to a pharmacy on Grand Ave. W with hand written prescriptions.

The technician became suspicious and contacted the doctor who allegedly wrote them, who confirmed he did not issue or sign either.

Police were called and a 30-year-old woman and 41-year-old man were arrested and charged with uttering a forged document.


$6,000 worth of tools are missing from a residence that’s under construction in Jeanette’s Creek.

Police say the tools were taken from the site on Tecumseh Line sometime between 6pm on December 20 and 8:30am on December 21.
