CK Police Briefs – Monday, December 21, 2015

Chatham-Kent police were called to a business on King St. East in Chatham yesterday afternoon about a man who was loitering in their store.

He fled before officers arrived but when they tracked him down, the 25-year-old allegedly gave them a false name.

He’s charged with obstructing police and failing to comply.


A man was taken into custody after causing a disturbance in the lobby of police headquarters.

Police say it happened around 5:30pm on Sunday.

The 24-year-old was taken into custody for his own safety and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.


A single vehicle accident near Chatham led to minor injuries for the driver.

Around 7:45 last night, police responded to the crash on Bear Line Road near Pioneer Line.

A 19-year-old Chatham woman was charged with not stopping at a stop sign. Damage is estimated at 10-thousand dollars.
