Chatham-Kent police say a youth will not be charged after a car was taken without permission in Chatham.

Police officials say they received reports about a young person driving a car in the area of Riverview Dr. and Keil Dr. S just before 5pm Friday.

Witnesses noted the youths in the car were ducking down to avoid being seen.

Police stopped the car and notified the owner of the vehicle, and made arrangements to have the youths and car retrieved from the scene.


A Chatham man faces charges following an argument over a shared Christmas gift.

CK police say a couple got into an argument at their Lacroix St. home just after 8pm Friday. They say the dispute was over money for a Christmas present.

Police¬†allege a man took his girlfriend’s phone and smashed it on the driveway.

As a result, a 22-year-old Chatham man is charged with mischief under $5,000.


A RIDE program was conducted in Blenheim, Tilbury and Chatham Friday night.

As a result 195 vehicles were checked, and no roadside screening tests were given.
