Police are investigating after a $5,000 designer briefcase was stolen from a SUV in Chatham.
Officers say the suspect smashed the window of the vehicle while it was in a parking lot on Keil Dr. S shortly after 7pm last night.
The suspect made off with a tan Louis Vuitton briefcase. Damage to the vehicle is pegged at $2,000.
The suspect is described as tall, thin, and was wearing all dark clothing with a hood. He fled the area on a red bicycle.
A Mississauga man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught speeding, twice, on Hwy, 401 in Chatham-Kent.
The OPP conducted a roadside stop after seeing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes around 3pm yesterday afternoon near Drake Side Rd.
Moments late, another officer stopped the same vehicle as it was speeding through the construction zone near Merlin Rd.
A 41-year-old has been charged with speeding and speeding in construction with workers present.
Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a grey 2002 Buick Rendezvous was stolen from a home on Victoria Rd. in Howard Township.
The vehicle was taken sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
The vehicle was last seen with the Ontario license plate BTYW 399.
