Police say a man allegedly turned his cell phone into a weapon after a confrontation with his girlfriend this week.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service says on Tuesday, they responded to a domestic dispute call after the man allegedly threw a cellphone at his girlfriend, knocking out one of her teeth.
On Friday, the suspect was found and arrested. He faces charges of assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
A Queen St. business in Chatham is short some money in their tills after a break-in.
Police say sometime Friday night an unknown suspect entered the business, taking an undiclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.
Police made another arrest in Chatham.
They say a 19-year-old was taken into custody on Friday after she failed to comply with probation orders.
She’s been released with a future court date.
