A 31-year-old Chatham man is in trouble with the law again after allegedly breaching his release conditions.

Police say he wasn’t supposed to attend a specific Chatham woman’s home or contact her, but he’s accused of trying to speak with her through an open kitchen window at her residence earlier this month.

Officers located him yesterday and took him into custody.


Chatham-Kent police have taken a 32-year-old man into custody after he also failed to obey the conditions of his release.

Police say he also contacted a woman who he wasn’t supposed to.

Officers found him on Grand Ave. W. in Chatham yesterday afternoon.


Police are laying charges against a Chatham couple after a disturbance at a residence in the city yesterday afternoon.

Police say a 27-year-old man and his 17-year-old were both arrested and charged with assault.


A 69-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to yield the right of way in connection with a two-vehicle collision on Indian Creek Rd. near Lacroix St. yesterday afternoon.

Police say no one was injured as a result of the crash.

The damages are estimated at $8,000.
