Chatham-Kent police say the CP Rail yard on Murray St. has been broken into.

Police say sometime overnight Friday a suspect broke into two service trucks in the yard stealing a Dell laptop, a STIHL chainsaw and assorted other tools.

Another case sees officers looking for someone who stole gas from a Thamesville gas station.

Police say a man filled up a portable gas container, then went inside to pay at the Mac’s Convenience Store on Victoria St.

When he left, he realized he had forgotten the container, and when he returned he found the tank had been stolen.

Police have issued a three-day drivers licence suspension to a motorist.

Officials say they stopped a fast-moving car on St. Clair St. in Chatham around 2:15am.

After telling officers he had a couple beers, the driver was given a roadside test and had his licence taken by police.
