A Blenheim man is back in police custody after violating his probation.

Police say the 30-year-old had several conditions, including not to contact a specific Chatham woman or be within 100 meters of her residence.

Yesterday afternoon officers were called to her home for a disturbance and found the man hiding in her basement.

He’s been charged with two counts of failing to comply.

A domestic incident has led to more charged for a Chatham man.

Earlier this month a woman went to police headquarters to report that she had been assaulted and threatened.

An investigation revealed the suspect was bound by conditions not to communicate with the woman. A warrant was issued for his arrest after officers were unable to located the man.

The 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested early this morning and charged with assault, uttering threats, and breach of probation.

Damage is pegged at $15,000 following a two-vehicle crash in Blenheim.

Police say the crash, which happened around 7pm last night on John St. near Sandys St. sent a 50-year-old Blenheim man to hospital.

A 17-year-old girl from Harwich Township has been charged with disobeying a stop sign.
