Police Briefs – Saturday, September 5, 2015
Chatham-Kent police had to pull a car out of a water-filled ditch after an accident just outside of Wallaceburg. This around 3pm Friday.
The driver was able to get out on his own, but $15,000 in damages resulted from the accident on Wren Ln.
A 33-year-old man is charged with Careless Driving.

An argument over a cat turned violent for two men in Tilbury around 1am Saturday morning.
Police say as the fight escalated, a suspect hit the victim in the head with a wooden plank. The victim suffered minor injuries.
A 42-year-old man is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

CK police are also investigating after a break-in at a McNaughton Ave. residence in Chatham.
Officials say late Friday night around $1,000 in jewelry was taken from the home.

CK officers have arrested a London man for impaired driving.
Police stopped a pick-up truck around 1am Saturday morning to find a driver they believed to be impaired.
Further breath tests led to officers charging a 20-year-old man with impaired driving.
