Police Briefs – Friday, August 28, 2015

A 19-year-old, wanted in connection to a stolen vehicle earlier this week, has been arrested.

On Monday night, a pickup truck was stolen from Erieau by two men and abandoned in Ridgetown.

Police say the pair stole a second pick-up, but fled on foot when officers arrived.

One 19-year-old from Rodney was caught, but the other suspect was not and a warrant was issued. He was taken into custody in Blenheim on Thursday and charged.

A traffic stop has led to charges for a Wallaceburg man.

Officers pulled over the 54-year-old and discovered he was a suspended driver, and that a warrant was out for his arrest.

He was released with a future court date.

A cash box has been stolen from the Chatham-Kent Airport.

Police responded to an alarm at the airport on Fourteenth Line early this morning.

Officers say someone entered the main building and stole the cash box, but they failed to locate anyone in the area.
