Police Briefs – Thursday, 27, 2015

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after three high-end bicycles were stolen in downtown Chatham.

Police say the bikes were taken early Wednesday morning from the back of a vehicle in a parking lot.

The bicycles are a royal blue Giant mountain bike, a gray-brown Gary Fisher mountain bike, and a silver Gary Fisher mountain bike with red lettering.

The total value of the bikes is estimated at $5,000.

A Chatham woman is back in police custody after violating her bail.

The 29-year-old was released back in June after she was charged with robbery, fraud, and numerous other charges.

She was to notify police if she moved, but when police checked her residence yesterday, officers learned she hadn’t lived there for over two weeks.

She was later located and taken into custody.
