A 32-year-old Chatham man in trouble with police after a vehicle fled from police.

Shortly after 3am this morning on William St., an officer tried to stop the vehicle because it did not have any licence plates.

The vehicle didn’t stop and ran several stop signs before running out of fuel a short time later.

The suspect surrendered peacefully and has been charged with flight from police, three rounds of failing to stop at a stop sign, six counts of prohibited driving, driving while under suspension, dangerous driving, driving without licence plates.

Chatham-Kent police seized four marijuana plants from the back yard of a home on Front Line in Harwich Township.

Officers seized the plants for destruction after receiving a tip Tuesday morning.

A 42-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after violating his probation orders.

The man was involved in three domestic incidents with the woman earlier this year and ordered not to contact her.

Yesterday afternoon, he allegedly contacted her through a dating website. He was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

A Chatham man is facing a long list of charges following an incident on Park Ave. E.

Last night, officers tracked down the man after receiving a 911 call that he was chasing someone with the firearm.

The 22-year-old was found, and while he did not have a firearm, he was in possession of a stolen bicycle, suspected crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
