Police have a suspect in custody following a confrontation that could’ve turned violent.

Chatham-Kent police say they attended a dispute call on Baldoon Rd. in Chatham around 4:30pm Friday.

There they found a suspect allegedly pointing a knife towards another man.

Police arrested the suspect and charged him with assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and breach of probation.


CK police also held RIDE Programs in Wallaceburg, Blenheim and Chatham.

A total of 219 cars were checked, with no infractions noted.


A Wallaceburg man spent the night in the drunk tank after causing a disturbance in Wallaceburg.

Police say they got a disturbance call about a man yelling in the area of James St. around 3am on Saturday.

The suspect was arrested and held in custody, as he was unable to care for himself.
