Police Briefs – Thursday, August 6, 2015
Chatham-Kent police are looking for the public’s help to identify a man who stole two bottles of rum from the LCBO on Wellington St. in Chatham.
Police say the bottles were stolen at around 2:30pm Thursday afternoon and have a combined value of $120.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

A black 2001 GMC Yukon was stolen from a residence on King St. in Wallaceburg between 7:30-8am Thursday morning.
The truck was last seen with the license plate AK 26778.

The Chatham-Kent Police Marine Unit stopped 70 vessels over the long weekend on the Thames River, Sydenham River, Rondeau Bay, and Chenal Ecarte.
Police say 17 boaters were issued warning for minor offences, like expired flares, while two boaters were charged with not having enough life jackets on board.
One boater was charged for not having their boating licence, and two boaters needed police assistance to get back to shore safely.
There were no alcohol related issues reported.

$3,000 worth of electronics are missing from a home on Winterline Rd.
Police say sometime over the past three days a 32″ Samsung Smart TV, iPad Mini, ACER laptop, and speakers were stolen.
