A Chatham man has turned himself in to police after allegedly assaulting another man with a broom.
Police allege the man entered a home uninvited around 8am Sunday morning, and assaulting a sleeping man on the couch.
The 37-year-old fled before officers arrived, but police issued a warrant for assault and assault with a weapon.

The coroner’s office say a sudden death at a Chatham motel has been deemed not suspicious.
Police were called to the Kent Motel on Grand Ave. E around 4pm on Monday to investigate the sudden death.

A 51-year-old man has been charged with assault and uttering threats following an incident at a Chatham apartment.
Last night around 8:45pm, police say the man pushed and threatened the building manager after he was asked to turn his music down.

A PlayStation, worth $500, is missing from a Chatham home.
Police say the video gaming system was stolen sometime between 9:30-10pm last night from the unlocked residence on Wellington St. E.
