Police Briefs – Sunday, July 26, 2015

A collision involving four vehicles kept police busy in Chatham Saturday.

Chatham-Kent Police say the accident happened around 4pm on McNaughton Ave and Doverdoon Dr.

Only minor injuries were sustained, and damage is pegged at $10,000.

A Chatham woman is charged with Careless Driving.

Chatham-Kent Police were able to snag a man with outstanding warrants Saturday.

Officers made a traffic stop on Keil Dr in Chatham around 1:30pm.

As soon as the vehicle pulled over the driver got out of the car and tried running from police.

Officers caught up to him a short time later. He’s arrested for theft related charges.

Chatham-Kent Police are asking for the public’s help after a vehicle was stolen in the Dresden area.

Early Friday morning police say a 2005 blue GMC Denali was taken from a driveway near Dresden. Its license plate reads BWAT 689.
