Officers have arrested a 30-year-old Wallaceburg man from the Chatham-Kent Police Service Wanted List.

He had an outstanding warrant for several theft-related charges.


An 18-year-old Chatham woman is charged with assault causing bodily harm, after another woman suffered serious injuries during an incident on Grant St.


Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with several break and enter-related charges after he and another suspect allegedly broke into the Canada Post office in Bothwell and stole $1,200 worth of commemorative coins and supplies.

Police say the two also forced their way into a nearby business and stole a laptop, cash and other items valued at $1,800.

About $2,700 worth of property has been recovered and police are still searching for the second suspect.


A Chatham man is charged with failing to comply and drug possession after officers confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant with another police service.

Police say the 39-year-old was using a cell phone contrary to his release conditions and had meth and cannabis resin on him.


A 45-year-old Raleigh Township man is facing theft charges for allegedly damaging a glass door at Lally Kia in Chatham and taking a laptop.


A three-vehicle crash on Grand Ave. E near Michener Rd. in Chatham caused about $18,000.

Police say no one was injured in yesterday’s crash, however, a bluish-grey older model full size pick-up truck left the scene, and are asking the public to watch out for the vehicle which should have front end damage.

Police also say the driver has a grey beard.
