Police Briefs – Monday, June 8, 2015

A Dover Centre man is facing an impaired driving-related charge after Chatham-Kent OPP stopped the man’s vehicle on St. Clair St. near Pioneer Line.

Police say over the weekend, the 40-year-old was allegedly speeding, and showed signs of impairment while speaking to the arresting officer.

The OPP says breath tests showed the man was over the legal limit.


Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of two cans of fuel from a locked shed on Bates Line near Rondeau.

The gas went missing late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and is valued at $100.
