A Wheatley resident faces impaired driving charges after an accident near the Wheatley Harbour.

Police say around 6:45 Saturday morning, they responded to a single-vehicle collision at the harbour. They found the driver had no injuries, but suspected them to be under the influence of alcohol.

Now a 21-year-old man is charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.


Police arrested a man in connection with a shoplifting incident in Wallaceburg.

Around 10:15 Saturday morning, officials say a man entered the Wallaceburg Shopper’s Drug Mart and stole an electric toothbrush.

Employees called police as the suspect was running out of the store, and police quickly tracked him down.

Police say the suspect put up a fight trying to resist officers, but was eventually handcuffed.

Now a 21-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with Theft Under $5000, and Possession under $5000.
