Carleton and the Cyclones move on in NCAA Tournament

Chatham native Bridget Carleton led the Iowa State Cyclones to NCAA Tournament Round of 32 after a 97-61 domination over New Mexico State.

The Big 12 player of the year was a stand out during Saturday night's game at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. Carleton landed 23 points and seven rebounds on the court.

By the end of the first half, Iowa State was already enjoying a 50-26 lead.

This marks the Cyclones' first NCAA Tournament win since 2013.

Iowa State will advance to the second round game on Monday in Ames against Missouri State. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN.
